Bea’s Diary #10

Well… I didn’t end up taking out my braids yesterday. I’m going to take them out today in the morning and wash my hair so I don’t know when I’m going to do my hair again.

There is only one electricity provider in Nigeria and they’re called Nepa. Although my mum pays for electricity they gave and take electricity whenever they want. For instance today we only had electricity for 2 hours.

My mum has a back up generator set up outside the house that provides electricity when Nepa turns it off. Honestly it makes you think about how ungrateful I can be; some people honestly don’t have electricity 24 hours a day, and there’s not a lot of street lights like there are in England.

I honestly wish there was something I can do to change this. It makes me sad.
